Devin started practicing mindfulness while working in the hectic world of New York City politics. The practice completely changed his life, so much so that he left his job in politics to teach mindfulness full-time. As a former middle school and high school English teacher, Devin enjoys working with young people, and has an intimate understanding of the challenges and joys of life in school. In addition to working as a trainer for Minds, Devin is the program director at BroadFutures, a not-for-profit that provides holistic training, mentoring and meaningful paid transitional work experiences for young adults with learning disabilities. He also teaches mindfulness classes at studios across the D.C. metro area. Devin has a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Cruz in history and literature and an M.A. in education policy from Teachers College.
